Practice Philosophy
"I strive to provide superior and compassionate care for my patients. I enjoy getting to know my patients and their families and, when needed, developing relationships with them over time. With my interest in sports, I emphasize to my patients the importance of a healthy lifestyle including exercise and a nutritious diet. It is tremendously gratifying to be able to participate in this important part of my patients' lives.

The Minneapolis Heart Institute is unique in allowing sub-specialization within the group and valuing the inclusion of research and teaching. After developing skills in echocardiography during my experiences as a fellow and junior faculty, it was important to me to continue with that for the remainder of my career. My interest in clinical research and the teaching of fellows, residents and students keeps me up to date on the latest developments in this ever-changing field."
