Study of:
Experimental study drug, pexelizumab

The primary purpose of this study is to see whether the experimental study drug, pexelizumab, can help lower the number of deaths or complications after someone has a heart attack.

Patients will be randomized (like the flip of a coin) to study drug or placebo. They will receive intravenous (IV) medication prior to their angiogram and then for 24 hours.

Follow-up includes phone calls at 1, 3, 6 months and 1 year.

Approximately 8500 subjects will be enrolled from 350 sites located in 15 countries.
