EASE Trial: Ezetimbe Add-On to Statin for Effectiveness Trial

Study of:
ZETIA™
The purpose of this study is to determine if adding ZETIA™ (a drug that lowers cholesterol by blocking its absorption in the gastrointestinal tract) to a cholesterol-lowering medication called a “statin” is better than using the statin alone in the treatment of high cholesterol. ZETIA™ is approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Another purpose is to test the safety of ZETIA™.
