Vascular Lab

The Peripheral Vascular (PV) program at the Minneapolis Heart Institute and Abbott Northwestern Hospital provides diagnostic ultrasound testing for blockage, narrowing and other disorders of the arteries and veins in the neck, arms, legs and abdomen. These narrowed or blocked vessels can be the cause of strokes, leg pain, swelling or ulcers of the legs. An enlargement (aneurysm) of the abdominal aorta can be fatal if it ruptures. The physician is thus equipped with the information to treat the cause of symptoms and frequently prevent the more serious consequences of vascular disorders. These tests are non-invasive and cause little, if any discomfort. Please click on a link below for more information on these PV ultrasound tests.
